It is one of my favourite quotes about London and I agree with it but I can see that for some who just don't like big cities could disagree with it. But in today's world of large cities, it could equally be applied to other cities e.

I love people.. Im a city girl - I love the countryside but after a few days I cant wait to get back to the buzz of a city. We're spoiled, spoiled, spoiled by it. I have to agree with the two Tx's, London is great in small doses, in fact I think it is the greatest Capital City in England!

But seriously, I do enjoy visiting London, but I just couldn't swap the ten minute cycle ride to work for any sort of commute in London. I couldn't swap the open countryside around me for the City Streets. I suppose it is a bit like some Grandparents say, I love Grandchildren, the beauty is that when you're fed up with them, you can hand them back. So London is great, I enjoy it's company, but then I can hand it back to the locals, and return to my little piece of countryside.

I can see why other people that live in and love London, and all of the advantages of living there, the varied Restaurants, Theatres, Sights etc. I remembered a poster in one of the forums mentioned he's not a big city person. To him all cities seem to be the same. I guess he's more into the open spaces and visiting natural sceneries compared to cities.

I love living and being in the city. And I always enjoy visiting London. But there are times, I just want to be out there and explore the great outdoors and enjoying some of earth's natural beauties. The reason for our road trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons in July.

Nice to visit, and nice to come away from again. I never did fully agree with ol' Johnson. It's a bit like Christmas - if you had it every day, it would stop being special.
